Design for Rural India

The region selected for field research was Jawhar, which is around 80 km from Nasik and falls under Palghar district, Maharashtra, India.
Locals will be employed in variety of ways as a result of Jawarli's concept: workshops, where they will assist and guide tourists with tools and techniques, hospitality, where they will look after the hygiene of the accommodation, stores, where artists will sell their artifacts and farmers could sell their produce, cultural events conducted such as dance and music, and finally, local housewives will be employed in a variety of ways such as catering, cleaning, and so on.
Tourists will mostly learn about Warli culture and customs, which will help the area acquire a reputation and preserve Jawhar's unique culture.
